The idea behind this is to support the SPM, and also to provide a central point for questions and consistent answers on the SPM and related topics. The TSS is also intended to assist in improving technical skills of Authorized Persons.

The TSS consists of two main parts, direct support to users and the publishing of Technical Bulletins and other material to address “frequently asked questions” on the SPM.

Role of the BCOSSA Technical Review Committee

The Technical Review Committee (TRC) is a subcommittee of BCOSSA. It is tasked with providing technical information and support to members of BCOSSA and stakeholders in the onsite sewerage system industry. This work is carried out in four main areas:

• Developing and providing technical information, including work on revision of the BC Sewerage System Standard Practice Manual (SPM)
• Providing technical support, including Technical Bulletins and interpretation of the SPM
• Peer review of new technologies
• Identifying research priorities and encouraging research
